Sophia Schubert shot a 5-under 67 on Saturday to move into a share of the lead at The Standard Portland Classic, pulling even with Arpichaya Yubol at 16-under 200 after three rounds at Columbia Edgewater Country Club.

Schubert, a 30-year-old American playing this season as an Epson Tour graduate, opened the third round tied for second at 11-under 133 and produced seven birdies against two bogeys to climb into position for her first career LPGA Tour win entering Sunday's final round.

Starting on the front nine of the par-72 layout, Schubert wasted little time, birdieing the first hole to reach 12-under. After pars on Nos. 2 and 3, a bogey at the par-4 fourth briefly dropped her back to 11-under, but she answered immediately with a birdie on the par-5 fifth hole to return to 12-under-par. Schubert added another birdie on the par-5 seventh hole to reach 13-under and turned in 34 after pars on Nos. 8 and 9.

She kept the momentum going on the back nine, birdieing the par-5 10th hole to move to 14-under and the par-5 12th to reach 15-under. A bogey on the par-4 14th hole pulled her back to 14-under, but Schubert responded with a birdie on No. 16 to climb back to 15-under. She closed her round in style, rolling in a birdie on the par-4 18th hole to finish with a 33 on the back nine and complete the round at 16-under-par 200.

Schubert has yet to record a top-10 finish in 14 starts this season, with 12 cuts made and no wins, but Saturday's round put her atop the leaderboard for the first time in her young LPGA Tour career. She re-earned her tour card by finishing 10th in the Epson Tour's Race for the Card standings last season, when she made 18 cuts in 20 starts and posted six top-10 finishes to punch her ticket back to the LPGA Tour for 2026.

With seven birdies against two bogeys, Schubert's 67 was the low round among the tournament's co-leaders and pushed her total to 16 strokes under par through 54 holes at Columbia Edgewater Country Club. Yubol, who shares the 54-hole lead at 16-under, is set to be paired with Schubert in Sunday's final round as both players chase their first LPGA Tour title at The Standard Portland Classic.

A win Sunday would mark Schubert's first LPGA Tour victory and cap a rapid rise from the Epson Tour to the top of the leaderboard in her first season back at golf's highest level.
