Two-time JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro winner Hannah Green has announced that she will be donating money to Los Angeles fire relief for every birdie and eagle she records during the 2025 edition of the tournament.

Green first shared her charitable intentions at the JM Eagle LA Championship media day and will be contributing $500 for each birdie and $1,000 for every eagle she makes to fire recovery efforts in the Greater Los Angeles area throughout the week at El Caballero Country Club.

While she didn’t get the idea for this campaign until she landed in Southern California for the event’s media preview two weeks ago, Green says she is hoping to make as much of an impact as she can in an area that has meant a lot to her professional golf career, particularly as the 28-year-old has collected two of her six career LPGA Tour titles at the 2023 and 2024 editions of the JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro.

“Being from Australia, we're very familiar with what it's like with fires, so seeing the footage and seeing what the recovery will be like,” Green said in a press conference promoting the tournament on March 31. “But I'm hoping that we do get a turnout and we can actually make a big difference during the tournament week. I didn't really think about it until I arrived last night into LA, but I would like to pledge for every birdie that I make that I'm going to donate $500 to a relief.

“I hope that I can make as many birdies as possible. I haven't seen the golf course yet, so I hope there are lots of birdies to be made. California has been such a special place to my heart, so I want to give back in any way possible.”

Green then announced via Instagram on April 12 that the money she raises during the event will go to the Los Angeles Fireman’s Relief Association, an organization committed to supporting LA firefighters and their families with various programs that provide medical plans, life and accident funding, death benefits and injury compensation, among several other resources.

The Australian will be looking to win her third straight JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro this week in Tarzana, Calif., and will get her title defense underway this Thursday, April 17, at El Caballero Country Club.
