High expectations are often not lived up to when it comes to the sporting world. When people have those external forces pushing on them from media, friends and family to be great at the highest level because they have shown it time and time again throughout different stages of their career, it is easy to give in to the pressure.

After Hannah Green went through her rookie season in 2017 on the Epson Tour, amassing 12 top-10 finishes, including three wins at the Sara Bay Classic, Murph USA El Dorado Shootout, and IOA Golf Classic during her rookie season, it was hard for people to not have high expectations for her career.

While her time on the Official Qualifying Tour of the LPGA was short-lived, Green left a massive impact. Since her 2017 season, no rookie has won as many times as the Australian did that season, a performance which also led her to winning the Gaelle Truet Rookie of the Year Award.

Green’s rookie season on the LPGA Tour was a good start to her time on the biggest stage in women’s golf, as she finished fifth in the 2018 Louise Suggs Rookie of the Year standings and 73rd on the Official Money List.

But it was 2019 when Green was really introduced to the golf world. She won her first LPGA Tour event in style, capturing the 2019 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship for not only her first victory but her first career major championship title. Another win followed at the Portland Classic, marking her first multi-win season on the LPGA Tour.

A small drought followed when it came to wins, but the consistent play was still there, as Green tallied multiple top-10 finishes every season up until 2023 when she found her way back into the winner’s circle at the JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro.

The 2024 season was one to remember for Green, as she earned her first three-win season on the LPGA Tour last year, taking home trophies at the BMW Ladies Championship, HSBC Women’s World Championship and in her title defense at the JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro.

As we enter the 2025 JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro, Green is looking to make it three consecutive wins in this tournament, and to add to her growing legacy in LA, the Aussie will be donating money for fire relief for every birdie and eagle she makes throughout the week at El Caballero Country Club.
