Two-time U.S. Solheim Cup Team member Alison Lee announced on Monday, March 3 via social media that she is expecting her first child in 2025.

The 29-year-old shared a photo carousel on her Instagram with a caption saying, “Coming soon…,” and excited reactions from her LPGA Tour counterparts poured in, with players like Nelly Korda, Lexi Thompson and Michelle Wie West, among a host of others, wishing the LPGA Tour veteran well.

Lee had not competed on the LPGA Tour since teeing it up in the BMW Ladies Championship last October and then withdrawing from the Maybank Championship the next week.

She first joined the LPGA in 2015 and has amassed over $4.4 million in career earnings, recorded 25 career top-10 finishes and earned 55 total top-25 results. Lee has participated in two Solheim Cups, most recently doing so in 2024 at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club and helping the Americans to their first victory in the biennial team competition since 2017 in Gainesville, Va.

But Lee isn’t the only LPGA Tour athlete expecting a child in 2025. Three-time Tour winner Ally Ewing, who retired at the end of the 2024 season, shared that she and her husband Charlie were going to have their first baby in June of this year on February 5, making their announcement with an Instagram post featuring their dog Rusty that read, “We are so excited and blessed that our family is growing!! Rusty is becoming a big brother in June!”

Julieta Granada, who hasn’t competed on the LPGA Tour since 2023, revealed that she was once again pregnant on February 7 via Instagram with a photo of her daughter Gia and a caption saying, “Exciting news!!! Gia is going to be a big sister! Baby girl Vargas arriving in July 2025.”

Amy Olson’s husband, Grant, got creative with the announcement of the couple’s second child, sharing the news with his football team at North Dakota State University in December alongside one of his staff members who is also having a child in 2025 and posting the video of his team’s reaction on social media. The Olsons are due in April.

Olympian Mariajo Uribe also took to Instagram with her family’s happy news, revealing her second pregnancy to her son Lucca in an adorable video that she posted on December 26, 2024, and then having Lucca tell his father Oscar that he was going to be a big brother.

Denmark’s Nicole Broch Estrup posted that she was pregnant with a baby boy over the holidays, saying on Instagram, “Merry Christmas from Teamskid. 2024 will be hard to beat, but we’re pretty sure when this little guy joins us in May, it will top everything.” Broch Estrup recently stepped away from competition just a couple of weeks ago to prepare for the arrival of her little one alongside her husband, Kasper.

U.S. Women’s Amateur champion and “Inside the LPGA” podcast co-host Emma Talley is another player who will be having a baby in 2025, revealing her pregnancy with a social media post on Christmas Eve of last year. Talley is expecting a little girl in June alongside her husband and LPGA Tour caddie Patrick Smith.
